2026 Garden Walk comes to New Hope for Families on June 6 & 7

New Hope for Families has been selected by the Bloomington Garden Club to be included in the club’s annual Summer Garden Walk.

2026 Summer Garden Walk
Saturday, June 6, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 7, 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

This year, ticket holders will have the opportunity to tour our gardens here at New Hope for Families. These gardens now include a pollinator garden, featuring a wide variety of intentionally selected flowers, and a vegetable garden, primarily serving as an outdoor classroom for New Hope Early Learning Center. Additional features in and around the gardens include a gazebo, a new mural by local artist Adam Long, and a detention basin which is home to native wildflowers and other plants.

Tickets are required for each person over age 12 and are available for purchase for $10 from early May through June 1 at participating local stores and during the event at any Garden Walk site (cash or check only). Tickets allow access to all Garden Walk sites on both days. Proceeds from ticket sales support local community beautification and gardening education initiatives through the Bloomington Garden Club’s grant program.

About the Garden Walk

  • Bloomington Garden Club’s annual Summer Garden Walk, now in its 36th year, provides visitors with access to six private Bloomington-area gardens, plus a flower show.

  • This year’s event will be Saturday, June 6 (10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.), and Sunday, June 7 (12:00–4:00 p.m.), 2026.

  • A $10 ticket, good for both days, will provide you with access to all of the featured gardens for four hours on both Saturday and Sunday.

  • Gardens on the Garden Walk, each unique and special in its own way, may be located close to one another, but also may be spread through various Bloomington neighborhoods.

  • During the Garden Walk, watercolor artists paint in each of the gardens and at the flower show.

  • Garden Walk tickets provide a clearly labeled map of flower show and garden locations, as well as the addresses and descriptions of all six gardens. Gardens may be visited in any order and visitors are invited to explore at their own pace.

  • Garden Walk tickets are available from early May through June 1 at participating local stores and during the event (cash and check only) at each of the Garden Walk sites.

  • Garden Walk sponsors help defray costs of presenting the annual summer event. Proceeds from the Garden Walk are awarded as grants to local nonprofit organizations for garden projects in our community.
