Community Partners

We invite your organization to be part of the hope movement!

What is a Community Partner?

A Community Partner is an organization that:

  • Affirms the Hope Movement core values

  • Provides material support for our mission

Our Community and New Hope for Families

A partnership for stable housing, healthy children, and a stronger community

Why our partners support New Hope

Family homelessness is a serious problem that harms our community.

  • The most recent official count identified 41 families (including 91 children under the age of 18) experiencing homelessness in Monroe County

  • Linked to negative educational outcomes for children, limiting their opportunities for future success in school and in life

  • Causes a decline in personal health of each member of the family

  • Creates a public health problem for the entire community

  • Perpetuates a cycle of poverty

Together we can solve this. We invite Bloomington’s community leaders to join the hope movement!

New Hope for Families works with our generous community partners to provide the solutions we need.

  • Helping families find their path to stable housing

  • Unique combination of emergency shelter and critical services

  • Accredited childcare helps parents get back to work

  • Compassionate and evidence-based model

  • Unduplicated program

  • Exceptional results

Measuring Success

None of this would be possible without community support!

  • On average, 80% of families who stay in our shelter move on to stable housing after they leave, compared to the statewide average of 33%.

  • Last year, 2/3 of children enrolled in our Early Learning Center were affected by homelessness or housing insecurity. Subsidized high-quality child care allowed their families to work and continue on their path to stability.

  • No one else in our community does what New Hope does. We are the only resource providing emergency shelter to local families experiencing homelessness paired with life-changing early education for children, all of which helps the whole family move to a better future.

  • Since opening our doors in 2011, New Hope has sheltered more than 450 families and assisted hundreds more with access to high-quality child care and other essential services.

The Hope Movement Core Values

We affirm that:

  1. Families are stronger together.

  2. Every family deserves a safe place to sleep.

  3. Every child deserves to begin school ready to succeed.

  4. Every parent in our community deserves to have access to safe and affordable childcare, in order that gainful employment can be within reach.

This is what we stand for. Will you join us?
