Dr. Jee Yeon Kim
Lead Teacher
Jee Yeon holds a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University, in addition to a master’s degree in elementary education from IU. Before becoming a full-time teacher at New Hope, Jee Yeon volunteered at the Early Learning Center for more than two years, where she developed a deep appreciation for New Hope’s mission and its commitment to supporting children and families. Jee Yeon is currently the lead teacher in the infant classroom. She believes the first three years of life are the foundation for development and lifelong learning. Her goal is to create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore, build relationships, and grow. Outside of work, Jee Yeon enjoys music; she plays the piano and cello and sings in a choir.
